Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology Rules and Regulations Practice Exam

The lead instructor is responsible for overseeing the teaching program at a licensed cosmetology school. This role typically involves ensuring that the curriculum meets state educational standards, facilitating effective teaching methods, and guiding the instructional staff in delivering quality education to students. The lead instructor plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of the program and guaranteeing that the students receive the instruction necessary to succeed in their cosmetology careers.

While the other roles, such as the school owner, director, and administrator, may have important responsibilities in the overall operation, administration, and compliance of the cosmetology school, it is specifically the lead instructor who focuses on the academic aspects and ensures that the teaching program is aligned with board regulations and educational objectives. This ensures that students not only learn the necessary skills but are also prepared for licensing exams and employment in the cosmetology field.
